Terms of service
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Welcome to Taitoa.
These Terms of Service are entered into between you and Taitoa Group LLC, doing business as Taitoa (“Taitoa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Taitoa operates this online store and website, including the related information, content, features, tools, products, and services offered through it collectively, the “Services.” Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.
These Terms of Service, together with any policies referenced in them, describe your rights and responsibilities when you access or use the Services.
Please read these Terms carefully. They contain important information concerning your legal rights, including warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability.
By visiting, interacting with, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you should not access or use the Services.
Section 1 — Eligibility, access, and accounts
By using the Services, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state of residence or that you are using the Services with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
To browse the store, create an account, or purchase products, you may be asked to provide information such as your:
- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Billing address
- Shipping address
- Payment information
You represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete and that you have the right to provide it.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account. You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You may not sell, transfer, assign, license, or otherwise provide your account to another person.
We reserve the right to refuse service, restrict access, suspend accounts, or cancel accounts where reasonably necessary to protect the Services, enforce these Terms, prevent fraud, or comply with applicable law.
Section 2 — Our products
We make reasonable efforts to display and describe our products accurately. However, colors, textures, proportions, and other aspects of a product may appear differently depending on your screen, device, browser, lighting, or display settings.
Product images are provided for reference. Packaging, labels, colors, materials, dimensions, or minor design details may vary where permitted by law and where the variation does not materially change the product purchased.
We do not guarantee that every product will meet every customer’s personal expectations.
Product descriptions, availability, prices, and specifications may be updated at any time without advance notice. We may discontinue products or limit the quantity available to a customer, household, address, payment method, geographic area, or order.
Any material product limitations or eligibility requirements will be stated on the applicable product page where reasonably practicable.
Section 3 — Orders and order acceptance
When you submit an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your cart.
Receiving an order confirmation does not necessarily mean that we have accepted the order. An order is accepted when we confirm acceptance, begin fulfillment, or ship the order, whichever occurs first.
We reserve the right to reject, limit, or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including because of:
- Product unavailability
- Pricing or product-description errors
- Suspected fraud or unauthorized activity
- Payment-processing problems
- Shipping restrictions
- Quantity limitations
- Violation of these Terms
- A request from a payment provider, carrier, or government authority
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will issue a refund for the canceled portion to the original payment method.
Please review your order carefully before submitting it. We may not be able to change or cancel an order after processing or fulfillment has begun.
If we need to contact you about an order, we may use the email address, phone number, billing address, or shipping address provided during checkout.
Products purchased through the Services are intended for personal or household use. You may not purchase products for unauthorized commercial resale, redistribution, or export.
Taitoa currently accepts and ships orders only within the United States.
Purchases are subject to our Return and Refund Policy.
Section 4 — Prices, payments, and billing
All prices displayed through the Services are stated in U.S. dollars unless expressly indicated otherwise.
Prices, discounts, promotions, and availability may change without notice. The applicable product price is generally the price displayed when you submit your order, subject to correction of obvious errors.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, displayed product prices do not include:
- Applicable sales taxes
- Shipping charges
- Handling charges
- Other charges disclosed during checkout
Because Taitoa ships only within the United States, customers will not be charged international customs duties or import fees by Taitoa.
We may offer promotions governed by additional terms. If promotion terms conflict with these Terms, the promotion terms will control for that promotion.
You agree to provide accurate and complete billing, payment, and account information. You agree to update that information when necessary so we can process transactions and contact you.
By submitting payment information, you represent that:
- The information is accurate and complete.
- You are authorized to use the payment method.
- Charges submitted through the payment method will be honored.
- You will pay the total amount disclosed at checkout, including applicable taxes and shipping charges.
Payments may be processed by Shopify Payments or other third-party payment providers. Your use of a payment method may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable payment provider.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a material pricing error affects your order, we may contact you for instructions or cancel and refund the affected order.
Section 5 — Shipping and delivery
Taitoa currently ships only to eligible addresses within the United States.
Shipping methods, estimated delivery windows, costs, restrictions, and processing information are described in our Shipping Policy and during checkout.
All processing and delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly state otherwise. We do not guarantee delivery on a specific date.
Delivery may be delayed by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
- Carrier disruptions
- Severe weather
- Natural disasters
- Labor disruptions
- High seasonal volume
- Incorrect or incomplete addresses
- Transportation interruptions
- Government actions
- Other unexpected events
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, or additional charges caused by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer.
Ownership and risk of loss generally transfer to you when the package is delivered to the shipping address provided with the order, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
If tracking marks an order as delivered but you cannot locate it, contact us promptly at info@taitoa.com so we can help review the available information. We cannot guarantee replacement or reimbursement when a carrier confirms delivery, but we will evaluate the circumstances of each claim.
Section 6 — Returns and refunds
Returns, refunds, damaged-item claims, and other post-purchase remedies are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.
You must follow the return-authorization instructions in that policy. Products sent back without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Nothing in these Terms or our policies limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Section 7 — Intellectual property
The Services and their content—including trademarks, logos, business names, product names, text, photographs, graphics, designs, videos, audio, software, page layouts, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to Taitoa Group LLC, Shopify, or their respective licensors.
These materials are protected by applicable United States and international intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services for lawful, noncommercial shopping purposes.
Without prior written authorization, you may not:
- Copy or reproduce substantial portions of the Services
- Modify or create derivative works from our content
- Republish, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit our content
- Remove copyright, trademark, or ownership notices
- Use our content to train or develop commercial machine-learning systems
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract store content
- Use Taitoa trademarks, branding, images, or product content in a misleading manner
- Suggest sponsorship, approval, or affiliation that does not exist
No provision of these Terms grants you ownership of or a license to Taitoa’s trademarks, copyrights, designs, or other intellectual property except for the limited right to use the Services as expressly stated.
The Taitoa name, logos, product names, designs, and slogans are trademarks or trade dress of Taitoa Group LLC or its licensors. They may not be used without prior written permission.
Shopify’s names, logos, products, and service marks belong to Shopify or its licensors.
All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Section 8 — Optional and third-party tools
We may provide access to features, applications, integrations, or tools operated by third parties.
We do not necessarily control, supervise, or endorse these third-party tools. They may be provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
Your use of an optional third-party tool is at your own discretion and risk. Before using it, you should review the provider’s applicable terms and policies.
We are not responsible for third-party tools to the extent permitted by law.
New features, tools, or resources added to the Services will also be subject to these Terms unless stated otherwise.
Section 9 — Third-party links and services
The Services may include links to websites, platforms, products, services, or content operated by third parties.
We do not control and are not responsible for evaluating the accuracy, reliability, availability, privacy, security, or practices of third-party services.
Your use of a third-party website or service is governed by that third party’s terms and policies. A link does not necessarily mean that Taitoa endorses the third party or its content.
We are not responsible for losses arising from transactions you enter into directly with third parties, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Questions or complaints concerning a third-party product or service should generally be directed to that provider.
Section 10 — Relationship with Shopify
Taitoa is powered by Shopify, which provides the technology used to operate the Services.
Purchases made through our store are transactions directly between you and Taitoa Group LLC. Shopify is not the seller of Taitoa products and is not responsible for fulfilling your order, administering our return policy, or providing customer service for Taitoa products.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you release Shopify and its affiliates from claims arising solely from your purchase of products from Taitoa.
Nothing in this section limits responsibility that Shopify may independently have under its own terms, policies, or applicable law.
Section 11 — Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
Because Shopify hosts the Services, Shopify also collects and processes certain information about your access to and use of our store. Information submitted through the Services may be transmitted to Shopify and other providers that support payment processing, analytics, fulfillment, shipping, security, marketing, and other store functions.
By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed our Privacy Policy.
Section 12 — Feedback, reviews, and submissions
If you submit a review, photograph, message, suggestion, idea, proposal, or other content to us or through the Services collectively, “Feedback,” you grant Taitoa a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, distribute, display, and create derivative works from that Feedback for purposes connected with operating, marketing, improving, and promoting Taitoa and the Services.
This license continues for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
You represent that:
- You own the Feedback or have permission to submit it.
- The Feedback is accurate based on your genuine experience where applicable.
- Any compensation or incentive connected to the Feedback has been properly disclosed.
- The Feedback does not violate another person’s rights.
- The Feedback does not contain unlawful, defamatory, abusive, obscene, deceptive, or malicious material.
- The Feedback does not contain malware or harmful code.
We are not required to:
- Keep Feedback confidential
- Pay compensation for Feedback
- Publish Feedback
- Retain Feedback
- Respond to Feedback
We may moderate, refuse, edit, or remove Feedback where permitted by law and where we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or is unlawful, misleading, offensive, irrelevant, or harmful.
You remain responsible for the Feedback you submit.
Section 13 — Errors and inaccuracies
The Services may occasionally contain typographical errors, incorrect prices, inaccurate descriptions, availability errors, shipping estimates, or other omissions.
We reserve the right to correct errors, update information, refuse or cancel orders, and adjust the Services at any time, including after an order has been submitted.
If we cancel an order because of an error after payment has been collected, we will refund the affected amount.
Nothing in this section permits us to avoid obligations imposed by applicable consumer-protection law.
Section 14 — Prohibited uses
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes.
You may not use the Services to:
- Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law
- Infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
- Harass, threaten, abuse, defame, discriminate against, or harm another person
- Submit false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information
- Impersonate another person or organization
- Commit or facilitate fraud
- Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Services
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to an account, system, or network
- Collect personal information about others without authorization
- Send spam or unauthorized promotional communications
- Scrape, crawl, spider, or systematically extract content without permission
- Circumvent access controls or security measures
- Resell products through unauthorized channels
- Use the Services in a way that exposes Taitoa, Shopify, our customers, or others to harm or liability
We may investigate suspected violations and may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary.
Section 15 — Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Services at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to some or all of the Services if we reasonably believe that you:
- Violated these Terms
- Engaged in fraudulent or unlawful activity
- Created a security or safety risk
- Abused our employees, providers, or customers
- Used the Services in a way that may harm Taitoa, Shopify, or another party
Termination does not eliminate payment obligations or liabilities incurred before termination.
Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will survive, including provisions concerning intellectual property, Feedback, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution.
Section 16 — Disclaimer of warranties
The Services and informational content are provided for general shopping and informational purposes.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Services will always be uninterrupted or error-free
- Every error will be corrected immediately
- The Services will always be available
- All informational content will always be complete or current
- A product will satisfy every subjective preference or expectation
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent legally permitted, we disclaim warranties concerning the Services that are not expressly provided by us.
However, products purchased from Taitoa remain subject to any warranties, consumer protections, or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms disclaims or limits an express warranty made in a product description or any implied warranty that applicable law does not permit us to waive.
Some states do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
Section 17 — Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Taitoa Group LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or connected with the Services or products purchased through them.
This may include loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or replacement costs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taitoa’s total liability for a claim arising from a purchased product will not exceed the amount you paid to Taitoa for the product giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability resulting from fraud, willful misconduct, or other conduct for which applicable law prohibits limitation.
Some states do not permit certain limitations of liability, so some or all of this section may not apply to you.
Section 18 — Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Taitoa Group LLC and its members, officers, employees, contractors, agents, affiliates, licensors, and service providers from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, judgments, and reasonable legal fees arising from:
- Your material violation of these Terms
- Your unlawful use of the Services
- Your infringement of another party’s rights
- Content or Feedback you submit
- Fraudulent or malicious conduct committed through your account
This obligation does not apply to claims caused by Taitoa’s own negligence, willful misconduct, violation of law, or breach of these Terms.
We will provide reasonable notice of a covered claim. We may control the defense using counsel of our choice, and you agree to provide reasonable cooperation.
We will not enter into a settlement that imposes a nonmonetary obligation or admission of wrongdoing on you without your reasonable consent.
Section 19 — Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Section 20 — Waiver and entire agreement
A failure by Taitoa to enforce a provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with the policies and notices incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Taitoa regarding your use of the Services and replace prior discussions or agreements concerning that use.
Any ambiguity will be interpreted fairly and not automatically against either party solely because that party drafted the provision.
Section 21 — Assignment
You may not transfer or assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
Taitoa may transfer or assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, financing, corporate restructuring, or transfer of the business, provided that doing so does not reduce any non-waivable consumer right.
Section 22 — Governing law and venue
These Terms and disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought in the state or federal courts with jurisdiction over San Luis Obispo County, California.
You and Taitoa consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from pursuing a claim in an eligible small-claims court or exercising a right that cannot legally be waived.
Section 23 — Headings
Headings are included for convenience only. They do not alter the meaning or interpretation of these Terms.
Section 24 — Changes to these Terms
You may review the current version of these Terms at any time on this page.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our Services, business practices, policies, technology, or legal obligations.
When we update them, we will post the revised version and update the “Last updated” date.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, updated Terms apply prospectively from their stated effective date. Your continued use of the Services after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
